Wage Agreements 2019

The Csa 2019 Public Sector Agreement (GA8) was registered with the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission (WAIRC) on 4 November 2019. The agreement will come into effect on November 4, 2019 and expire on June 12, 2021. PSUWA 2019 was registered on 25 February 2020 and concerns employees covered by the Tasmanian State Service Award (TSSA) and the Health and Human Services Award (HAHSA). In the context of the negotiations on the Agreement, a number of issues not related to the Agreement were discussed and agreed upon by the parties, in addition to amendments to the Agreement and the relevant Agreements. In 2020-2023, wage increases based on GDP per capita growth can be added to the monthly salary. This benefits low-paid workers the most, as the increase is added 100% to the rates of pay and 75% to other wages. Wage increases related to economic growth are activated on 1 May for the years 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 and are based on the previous year`s economic growth figures, calculated by Statistics Iceland. New parents can benefit from an additional two weeks of paid leave to help care for a new child. For employees on maternity or adoption leave, it is increased from 14 weeks to 16 weeks.

Partners can also access an increase in paid leave from 1 week to 3 weeks after the birth of a new child. These changes apply from the first full payment period starting on or after December 1, 2019. Updated compensation plans (Annexes 2, 3 and 4) to allow for an annual salary increase of USD 1,000. The clause provides for equivalent remuneration for authorised staff for the period from 13 June 2019 to the date of registration on 4 November 2019. The new collective agreement comes into effect on April 1, 2019. The monthly wage of all workers increases by 17,000 crowns. for full day work and the minimum wage for full employment is now 317,000kr./month. You can see the new salary table here.

Anglo American Platinum Limited (“Anglo American Platinum” or “the Company”) announces that it has signed a three-year collective agreement with the recognized unions of its companies, namely the Association of Craftsmen and Construction Union (AMCU), the National Union of Mine Workers (“NUM”) and UASA – The Union (UASA). The salary increase was demoted to the first full salary period after December 1, 2019, resulting in a refund of a salary associated with the increase in the rate of pay: the agreement is based on the purchasing power of wages that increase during their duration; whereas interest rates fall significantly and remain low; and that the government keep its promises. These prerequisites will be evaluated in September 2020 and September 2021. The evaluation committee will be composed of 3 representatives of the trade unions and 3 representatives of the employers. The agreement can be cancelled if the conditions are missing.ł At the beginning of the negotiations, a salary increase from the ISK was negotiated as planned..
